Missile (Sixth Shading Attempt)

This was my sixth attempt at shading, I decided to give in and just use layers for it, I also decided to remove color out of the equation and do just black and white, and my imagination also, I used a reference for this image so that I could just focus on the technique and shading and not worry about any other factors if I could avoid it.

I think it turned out pretty great, but I'm not completely satisfied with the wings, but I think this is way better than anything I've done before. Hopefully I can wrap up this whole shading business soon This took me about 3 or 4 hours to do I think, but if I get a proper grip on the techniques I'm trying to use I should be able to do something like this in a matter of minutes.

I feel like it would be pretty safe for me to start working with color again too, it's just not that much harder for me to do it with color, it's all the same principles. Here's my fifth attempt if you're interested.
